Loyolo is a personal side project exploring how AI can assist smart home product discovery. This page explains what minimal data is collected and how it is used.
1. Data Collected
We aim to keep collection minimal:
- Analytics: Anonymous page views and interactions (Google Analytics with IP anonymization) for understanding general usage.
- Preferences: Your selected country, theme mode and cookie consent choice stored locally in
localStorage. - Affiliate Redirects: When you click an Amazon link, the destination URL contains an affiliate tag so Amazon can attribute potential commissions.
2. Cookies & Local Storage
A lightweight consent banner asks for permission for analytics. If you decline, analytics scripts may still load in basic mode but no additional tracking cookies are intentionally stored.
3. Use of Data
- Improve product filtering, performance and UX.
- Monitor aggregate popularity (which categories, not individuals).
- Support the project through affiliate attribution.
4. Third Parties
- Amazon for affiliate links (they may set their own cookies once you visit Amazon).
- Google Analytics (IP anonymization enabled).
5. No Sale of Personal Data
No personal identification is requested or sold. No account system currently exists.
6. Data Retention
Aggregated analytics data may be retained for up to 14 months in Google Analytics default retention settings.
7. Your Choices
- Use the cookie banner to accept or decline analytics.
- Clear browser storage to remove saved preferences.
8. Contact
For any privacy concerns or deletion requests regarding analytics events, contact: privacy@loyolo.eu.
9. Changes
Policy updates will be posted here with a revised date.
